Mrs. Aline Matthews Wrenn. Age 92 of Nashville, TN., died Friday, April 11, 2008 at the The Palace Care and Rehabilation in Red Boiling Springs, TN. Mrs. Wrenn was born September 4, 1915 in the Ash Hopper area of Defeated Creek, TN., the last living child of Alma Petty and John Bransford Matthews. Six Siblings preceded her in death: John Alvin Matthews, Lucille M. Knight, Aubrey Matthews, Alton Matthews, Eugene Matthews and Fred Lee Matthews. She was married to Roy E. Wrenn and he preceded her in death on February 11, 1980. She had lived in Nashville since 1945. She was a homemaker and was a member of Eastland Baptist Church, Nashville, TN. Survived by Niece, Retta (John C., Jr.) Waggoner of Carthage, TN. Great Niece, Michelle (Jeff) Hudson. Great Nephew, Robert (Amy) Waggoner. Sister-in-Law, Cornell Matthews. Mrs. Wrenn’s remains are at the Carthage Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes where Services will be held on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 11:00 A.M conducted by Bro. Paul Patterson. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville on Monday afternoon at 2:00 PM, with Bro. Isreal Brooks, officiating.The Wrenn family will receive friends at the Carthage Chapel on Sunday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Monday after 10:00 A.M.
