Mrs. Clara Bennett Sutton, age 80, of Mt. Juliet, TN passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Lebanon Health and Rehab Center in Lebanon, TN. Mrs. Sutton was born April 25, 1934 in Lancaster, TN, the Daughter of the late Bill Burton “Button” Bennett and Goldie Mai Bennett. She was also preceded in death by Daughter; Clara Ruth Underwood. Mrs. Sutton attended the Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Sutton is survived by Husband; John R. Sutton of Mt. Juliet, TN. Children; Bobbie (George) Swift of Smyrna, TN, Roger Dale (Julie) Underwood of Holiday, FL, Patricia Goins of Unionville, TN, Robert L. (Judy) Underwood of Murfreesboro, TN , Step-Daughter; Deborah Newcomb of Old Hickory, and Step-Son; Rick Cochran of South Carolina. Brothers and Sisters; Shirley (Glenn) Fitzpatrick, Mary Edith Geesaman, Reba Peal Thomas, Beatrice Farmer, Billy (Cathy) Bennett, Johnny (Penny) Bennett, and Jeanette Hale. Grandchildren; Triba, Brian, Amy, Jordan, Alex, Barry, Chris and Page, several great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services for Mrs. Sutton are scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 2PM at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes with Bro. Chad Pinion. Interment will follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery. Visitation with the Sutton family will be held at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Saturday from 3PM until 8PM and again on Sunday from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 2PM.
