Conley Earl Williams

April 27, 1934 - April 2, 2007

Mr. Conley Earl Williams, Age 72 of East Main Street, Gordonsville, TN., died Monday, April 2, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Williams was born April 27, 1934 in Sevierville, TN., the son of the late Minnie Arwood and Ben Williams. He was married to Linda Alberta Stewart on May 17, 1958. They lived in Mt. Juliet, TN from 1971 until they moved to Gordonsville in November of 1993. A Son, William Scott Williams preceded him in death on December 3, 1992. Mr. Williams joined the United States Air Force in 1951 and had 21 years in the Air Force and Air National Guard. After retiring from the Air Force he went to work for TVA in 1971 in constuction as a laborer, and retired in 1997. He was a member of the Mt. Juliet Fire Department for 10 years. He was a member of Martha Baptist Church and attended the Hickman Baptist Church. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Alberta Stewart Williams. Two Sons: Jacky Williams and his wife, Kelly of Hickman, TN and Bobby Williams of Gordonsville, TN. Two Grandsons: Jordan Williams and Doss Williams. Mr. Williams’ remains are at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. conducted by Bro. Russ Stephens and Bro. Bobby Peoples. Interment will full military honors will be at the Gordonsville Cemetery.The Williams family will receive friends at the Gordonsville Chapel on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.
