Harold Lee Williams, age77 of Carthage died Friday March 2, 2007 at UMC in Lebanon. Mr. Williams was a former Smith County Sheriffs Deputy and was a former Gordonsville Chief of Police. He was married to the former Barbara Anderson on April 20, 1976.Mr. Williams was the son of the late Haskell and Naomi Smith Williams. He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Barbara Anderson Williams of Carthage; two sons: Zachary Harold Williams of Carthage and Todd Lee Freeman of Gordonsivlle; brothers: Ralph E.(Betty) Williams of Bethany, Ohio and A.C. (Opal) Williams of Madison; sister: Mrs. Billie Sircy of Lebanon; grandson: Lucas Caine Freeman of Gordonsville; sister-in-law: Mattie Jane (Teefer) Dillihay of Carthage; special companion: Bunker Williams and several nieces and nephews.Mr. Williams remains rest at the Gordonsville chapel of Bass Funeral Homes where services will be conducted from the chapel Monday March 5, 2007 at 2PM conducted by Bro. Bobby Peoples and Elder Charles Allen Gentry. Interment will follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery. Visitation: Sunday 11AM TO 9pmMonday after 9AM. Donations in memory of Mr. Williams may be made to The American Cancer Society or to the Family Worship Center.
