Mr. Jimmie Calvin White, age 82, of the Maggart community passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008 at Riverview Regional Medical Center North in Carthage, Tn.. He was born in Elmwood, Tn on October 2, 1925, the son of the late Taylor and Sarah Overstreet White . He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. He recieved both the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Awards. He was married to Ella B. Roberts on October 3, 1950. He was a member of the Maggart United Methodist Church. He was retired from TRW in Lebanon,Tn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Two Sisters; Sadie Bush and Willodean Hunter., Two Brothers; Garland White and Jasper White.He is Survived by Wife; Ella B. White of Maggart, Tn., Son; Terry (Glenda) White of Maggart, Tn. Daughter; Brenda (Greg) Wilson of Tullohoma, Tn.,Four Grandchildren; Lorrie (Herbert) Nugent, Brent (Tracy) White, Shane White, and Nicole White., Two Great Grandchildren; Brady and Wyatt Nugent., Two Brothers; Edward White of Carthage, Tn., and John E. White of Murfreesboro, Tn., Several Nieces and Nephews.Funeral services for Mr. White will be conducted Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 1 PM from the Carthage Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes with Bro. Jeff Burton and Bro. Brett Gibbons officiating. Interment will follow in the Dickens Cemetery in Maggart. Mr. White’s Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 PM to 8 PM and on Wednesday after 11 AM.
