Margaret Whittemore

Mrs. Margaret Thomas Whittemore, Age 91 of Nashville, TN., died Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the Green Hills Health & Rehabitation Center, Nashville, TN. Mrs. Whittemore was born June 2, 1916 in Smith County, TN., the daughter of the late Beatrice Gibbs and Jesse Vernon Thomas. A Sister, Jessie Verna Thomas McPeak and two brothers, Albert B. Thomas, Sr., and Lee McCormick Thomas preceded her in death. She was a 1936 graduate of Lebanon High School. She worked several years as Secretary at Florida State University. She was married on October 5, 1946 to Robert Whittemore who preceded in death on . She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church, Nashville, TN. She is survived by a Sister, Frances Ann Farringer of Nashville, TN. Several Nieces and Nephews. Memorial Services for Mrs. Whittemore were held at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. conducted by Elder James Thomas Gibbs. Inurnment was in Gordonsville Cemetery.
