Mr. Richard Wayne Upshaw, age 80 of Carthage, TN passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Upshaw was born October 6, 1933 in Alexandria, LA, the son of the late Travis Zacharias Upshaw and Louane Everett. He was also preceded in by Three Sisters; Thelma Williams, Gwendolyn Yarbrough, and Billye Ruth Clark, Brother; Clyde Edwin Upshaw. He married Claudette Gilbert on December 17, 1952. He retired from Sears and was an active deacon of Dickerson Road Baptist Church in Nashville,TN. He is survived by his Wife; Claudette Upshaw of Carthage, TN, Three Children; Debra Allen of Crossville, TN, Vicki (Greg) Ator of Hermitage, TN, and Danny Upshaw of Orlinda, TN. Two Brothers; David (Sandra) Upshaw and Travis Shelton Upshaw, both of Texas. Three Grandchildren; Traci Hollandsworth, Amy Eberle, and Melissa Steele. Three Great-Grandchildren; Parker Hollandsworth, Maryann Steele, and Colton Steele. Private Services will be held for the Upshaw Family.
