Mrs. Sallie Mai Wilson, Age 63 of Brush Creek, TN., died Monday, June 8, 2009 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Mrs. Wilson was born September 4, 1945 in Overton County, TN., the daughter of the late Girlie May Honeycutt and Elbert Harris, Sr. She was married in 1963 to Lawrence Lee Wilson. She worked for the Smith County Sheriff’s Office the last 10 years as a Jailer. She was a member of the Brush Creek United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband, Lawrence “Bud” Wilson of Brush Creek, TN. Brothers: Elbert “Bud” Harris, Jr. of Carthage, TN and Willie Allen Harris of Baxter, TN. Sisters: Bessie Sells of Jamestown, TN and Fannie Howard of Deer Lodge, TN. Funeral Services for Mrs. Wilson will be held at the Brush Creek United Methodist Church on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Floyd Massey, officiating. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery.The Wilson family will receive friends at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday at the Church from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M.
