Jack Mason

Mr. Jack Mason, age 70, of Gordonsville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Jack was born March 1, 1947 in the Mason Hollow of Smith County, TN, the son of the late John Washington Mason and Robbie Geneva Reed. He was also preceded in death by Brothers; James Ledford Mason, Michael Lynn “Speck” Mason, Bobby Ben Mason, Larry E. “Buddy” Mason, and William T. “Stick” Mason. Jack married Brenda Gale Hawkins on June 7, 1968. Jack was saved in 1969 at the old home place. He attended Launchpoint Church in Lebanon, TN. Jack was a truck driver and drove for USF Holland for fifteen years. Jack was an avid golfer, fisherman, and cook. If he wasn’t spending time with his family, you would find him on the golf course or on the lake. Mr. Mason is survived by his wife of 48 years; Brenda Gale Mason of Gordonsville, TN. Children; Jeff and wife Amanda Mason of Gordonsville, TN, and Angela and husband Jim Kubic of Lebanon, TN. Four Grandchildren; Madison Kubic, Maggie Mason, Mckenzie Mason, and Jax Mason. Five Siblings; Buster Mason of Gordonsville, TN, Terry Mason of Bowlings Branch, TN, Faye Huddleston of Lancaster, TN, Peggy (David) Clemons of Bowlings Branch, TN, and Kay (Alvin) Damron of Gordonsville, TN. Pa Nack’s Special Blessings; Will and Cage Petty, Addison and Christian Hawkins, and Lana Alvis. Funeral services for Mr. Mason are scheduled to be conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 1PM with Bro. Rodney Hawkins and Pastor Jim Kubic officiating. Interment will follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery. Visitation with the Mason family will be held at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Thursday from 3PM until 8PM and on Friday after 10AM until service time at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, the Mason family requests memorials in Mr. Jack’s memory be made to St. Jude or to Launchpoint Church in Lebanon, TN.
